We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s case, by shouting out one word – SHAZAM! – this streetwise fourteen-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult superhero Shazam.The first film cameras were fastened directly to the head of a tripod or other support, with only the crudest kind of leveling devices provided, in the manner of the still-camera Shazam! tripod heads of the period. The earliest film cameras were thus effectively fixed during the shot, and hence the first camera movements were the result of mounting a camera on Shazam! a moving vehicle. The first known of these was a film shot by a Lumière cameraman from the back platform of a train leaving Jerusalem in 1896, and by 1898, Shazam! there were a number of films shot from moving trains. Although listed under the general heading of “panoramas” in the sales catalogues of the time, those films shot straight forward Shazam! from in front of a railway engine were usually specifically referred to as “phantom rides”.
In 1897, Robert W. Paul had the first real rotating camera head made to put on Shazam! a tripod, so that he could follow the passing processions
of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in one uninterrupted shot. This device had the camera mounted on a vertical axis that Shazam! could be rotated by a worm gear driven by turning a crank handle, and Paul put it on general sale the next year. Shots taken using such a “panning” head Shazam! were also referred to as “panoramas” in the film catalogues of the first decade of the cinema. Blu-ray or Bluray rips are encoded directly from the Bluray disc to 1080p or 720p (depending on Shazam! disc source), and use the x264 or x265 codec. They can be ripped from BD25 or BD50 discs (or UHD Blu-ray at higher resolutions).BDRips are from a Bluray disc and Shazam! encoded to a lower resolution from its source (i.e. 1080p to 720p/576p/480p).
BRRips are an already encoded video at an HD
resolution, that is then transcoded to an SD resolution. BRRips Shazam! are only from an HD resolution to a SD resolution whereas BDRips can go from 2160p to 1080p, etc. as long as they go downward in resolution of the source Shazam! disc. BDRips are not a transcode, but BRRips are.BD/BRRips in DVDRip resolutions can vary between XviD/x264/x265 codecs (commonly 700 MB and 1.5 GB in size as well as larger DVD5 Shazam! or DVD9: 4.5 GB or 8.4GB), size fluctuates depending on length and quality of releases, but the higher the size the more likely they use the x264/x265 codecs. A BD/BRRip Shazam! to DVDRip resolution looks better, regardless, because the encode is from a higher quality source. BDRips and BRRips are often confused with each other, but have followed the above guideline Shazam! after Bluray replaced BDRip title structure in scene releases.
BD5/BD9 are also available, which are similar to their counterpart DVD5/DVD9 releases. They are AVCHD compatible using the BD folder structure (sometimes Shazam!
called Bluray RAW), and are intended to be burnt to disk in order to play in AVCHD compatible Bluray players. More common types are complete Bluray copies (images/raw data), referred Shazam! to as BD25 or BD50 which may or may not be remuxed and are never transcoded. They are commonly burnt onto Shazam!Tags:
